In Memory of
Paul F. Kenney
Co-founder, attorney, author, musician, and visionary storyteller.
A Life of Purpose
Paul F. Kenney lived a life defined by justice, creativity, and generosity. An accomplished attorney, he began his career as a public defender before co-founding the law firm Kenney & Conley, where he spent decades championing those without a voice. His service extended beyond the courtroom — as longtime President of Caritas Communities Inc., Paul worked to provide housing for Boston’s working poor, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to community and compassion.
Novels and Songs That Inspire
Paul was also a gifted writer and musician. He authored three novels — Man of the Sword, Paths Along the Way, and Angel from the Dust — each rooted in history, conviction, and the struggle for justice. His creative vision extended to music as well; in addition to writing Man of the Sword, Paul composed the songs that will form the soundtrack for the series, ensuring his voice continues to be heard in both word and song.
Kinvara Productions
A Legacy of Storytelling and Friendship
Together with his close friend and colleague Jim Brady, Paul co-founded Kinvara Productions to bring his stories from the page to the screen. His belief in the power of narrative and his dedication to giving voice to the overlooked remain at the heart of Kinvara’s mission.
Remembering Paul
Beyond his professional and creative accomplishments, Paul was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was known for his warmth, humor, and boundless energy — “a Certified Wild Man,” as his son Adam lovingly described him in his eulogy. His generosity touched countless lives, whether through his legal advocacy, his music, or simple acts of kindness shared with family and friends.
Attorney, Advocate, and Community Leader
Paul’s legacy is more than a body of work — it is a spirit of conviction, creativity, and compassion that continues to guide Kinvara Productions. Every project we undertake is a testament to his belief that great stories can change how we see the world.
