Kinvara Productions was founded on conviction, collaboration, and the belief that great stories have the power to endure.
Our Story & Values
Kinvara Productions was created by the late Paul F. Kenney and his partner Jim Brady, with a shared mission to enlighten and uplift others by bringing meaningful cinematic stories to the screen.
From the beginning, Kinvara has embraced a story-first philosophy — every project begins with character, conviction, and a sense of history. Our ambition is to be both grounded and scalable: we assemble the right collaborators for each project, building a team that fits the demands of the story.
We believe that history has never felt more urgent than now, and some stories echo louder than others. In a world still wrestling with nationalism, migration, and identity, the projects we pursue cut through time to speak to questions of freedom, sacrifice, and legacy. We focus on tales of resistance and redemption, timely, universal, and deeply human.
Kinvara is committed to developing stories with global resonance and universal themes of helping others — forgotten legends reimagined for a new generation.

Meet the Team

Founder
Jim Brady brings decades of experience in leadership, creativity, and storytelling to Kinvara Productions.
He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during the Vietnam era, gaining firsthand perspective on discipline, resilience, and global conflict. After returning home, he worked in construction, learning the practical skills of building from the ground up — skills that would later define his approach to managing complex projects and teams.
Jim went on to build a distinguished career as a trial lawyer, earning recognition for his work in both civil and criminal cases. In court, he became known for his ability to craft compelling arguments and lead with integrity — qualities that now guide his work as a producer.
Alongside his professional life, Jim is also an accomplished musician and performer. His lifelong love of music and storytelling continues to inform Kinvara’s creative voice.
With Kinvara, Jim brings together his life experience — military, construction, legal, and artistic — to champion stories of conviction, resilience, and human spirit.

Founder
Kinvara Productions was co-founded by Paul F. Kenney, attorney, author, musician, and visionary storyteller. Paul’s passion for justice, his love of language, and his deep belief in the power of story remain central to Kinvara’s identity today.
Paul authored three novels — Man of the Sword, Paths Along the Way, and Angel from the Dust — which inspired the company’s current slate of projects. In addition to writing the novel that forms the foundation of Man of the Sword, he also composed the songs that will become the series’ soundtrack — a legacy of story and music intertwined.
Paul’s vision lives on in every project we bring forward.
